A demo of the Lore swipe deck. Swipe right if a meme made you laugh, left to pass, and up to crown it.

Try the demo: drag a card or tap a button. These are example memes.

  • Sam said 5 minutes, it’s been 3 hours
  • Fell asleep at his own birthday party
  • A quick lunch, we said
  • A chill beach weekend vs Priya’s 14-stop itinerary
  • A quiet Taco Tuesday. Maya invited 14 people
  • Fix the Honda, or name it and keep driving

How it works

Make it. Swipe it. Crown it.

Lore turns the stories your group already tells into a group chat game. Three moves, and the whole room is playing.

  1. Make: type what happened

“Sam said 5 minutes, it’s been 3 hours.” Lore writes the meme with your friends’ names built in. Pick a format, tweak the words, post.

  2. Swipe: right, left or up

Right if it made you laugh, left to pass, up to crown it. You get 3 crowns a day, so spend them on the real ones.

  3. Crown: climb the Top list

Every meme gets a real score from your friends, and the best ones climb your room’s Top list. Find out who’s actually funny.

Daily battle

One meme. Everyone captions. 9pm crown.

Every day the room gets the same meme to caption. Everyone enters, the room votes, and the winner is crowned at 9pm. Yesterday’s winner stays at the top of the Battle tab, ready to send to the chat.

FAQ

Questions about the group chat meme app

What is Lore?

Lore is a meme app for your group chat. Friends join a room from one invite link, make memes about each other, and swipe to vote. The best memes climb the room’s Top list, and a daily battle crowns a winner at 9pm.

Is Lore free?

Yes. Lore is free to play in your browser. There are no ads and no watermark on the memes you save.

Do my friends need an account to join?

No email or password. Open the invite link a friend sent, type the name your friends call you, and tap Join.

How does voting work?

Swipe right if a meme made you laugh, left to pass, and up to crown it. You get 3 crowns a day, so save them for the best ones. Every meme gets a real score from your friends.

How does the daily battle work?

Everyone in the room captions the same meme. The room votes on the entries, and the winner is crowned at 9pm.

How is Lore different from a meme generator?

A meme generator stops once the meme is made. In Lore you type what happened, Lore writes the meme with your friends’ names built in, and then your group votes on it, ranks it and battles over it.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

The iPhone and Android apps are coming soon. Watch this page for beta access and launch updates. Today Lore plays free in any phone or computer browser, and invite links open right there.
